Babcock selects Good Technology for its Global Mobile Enterprise Management and Security Capabilities

London, UK and Sunnyvale, CA, — December 8, 2011 — Good Technology, the leader in multiplatform enterprise mobility, announced today that Babcock International Group Plc, the UK's leading engineering support services organization, is adopting the Good for Enterprise solution. Good Technology will provide Babcock with enterprise-grade security and control over business data and applications for the company's 27,000 global workforce.

Babcock, which relies on enterprise mobility for its support of global clients that span the defence, energy, telecommunications, transport and education sectors, has chosen to implement the Good for Enterprise solution to:

  • enable significant employee collaboration efficiencies;
  • support a broader range of employee-ported mobile devices;
  • provide rigorous mobile enterprise security across multiple platforms;
  • reduce costs associated with enterprise mobility functions across the organization

Previously, Babcock used Blackberry’s enterprise products but decided to upgrade to Good Technology’s services to harness more recent technological advances in enterprise mobile solutions. In addition, Babcock desired to seamlessly adapt to an evolving enterprise mobility marketplace that has become more dominated by emerging and popular iOS and Android devices increasingly brought into the workplace by employees.
