Tips & Tricks
Good Mobile Messaging was designed to set the standard in speed and usability. You can use the following list of Autotext and keyboard shortcuts to help you manage messaging on your handheld more quickly and easily:
Managing Your Inbox
To use any of the keyboard shortcuts below, go to your e-mail inbox, but don.t open a specific e-mail. Then press:- Enter . Opens the selected message
- z . Initiates Send/Receive Now command
- n . Moves to the next day's messages (down the list)
- p . Moves to the previous day's messages (up the list)
- d, backspace . Deletes the selected message
- v . Turns preview pane on and off
- m . Moves selected message to an inbox folder (you will be prompted to choose from a list of available folders)
- s . Sorts messages by sender
- r . Reply to sender
- a . Reply to all
- f . Forward message
- m . Moves message to a folder
- n, p . Opens the next or previous message respectively (also works with Calendar)
General Shortcuts
- t, b . Moves to the top/bottom of a screen respectively (doesn't apply to edit screens)
- l . Locks handheld when password is set
- n . Moves to the next item in application
- spacebar . Pages down in E-Mail, Tasks, Notes, and Help
- option + spacebar . Opens the symbols menu, 15 symbols including ";:=<>"
Hints
When typing an e-mail address, such as "joesmith@good.", type a space to autofill as "com"; then type a space again to scroll through "net", "gov", "org", "edu", "mil."
To customize Autotext, open Good Mobile Messaging Preferences, and then select Menu > New.
