Good Technology Launches National Advertising Campaign to Raise Awareness of Support for iPhone, Palm Pre and Android Devices
- First national advertising campaign targets C-level business decision makers
CTIA Wireless IT & Entertainment, San Diego, CA, October 7, 2009 — Good Technology™ today announced the launch of a new national advertising campaign designed to communicate to business users that they can now use their chosen smartphone with the blessing of the IT department. The targeted campaign breaks with billboards at seven high traffic airports including New York (JFK), San Francisco (SFO) and Washington DC (Dulles), and will rollout to national business magazines and online news sites over the next few months.
In a recent survey commissioned by Good, entitled "The Device Dilemma,” 78 percent of IT directors reported that in the last six to 12 months they have seen an increase in employees wanting to use their own mobile devices, while 28 percent of companies said they had already suffered a security breach because of an employee's use of an unauthorized device.
"Apple’s iPhone® and the Palm Pre combined with an explosion of Android devices is changing the mobile end-game in the enterprise,” said John Herrema, Good’s chief marketing officer. “With Good for Enterprise™ and its upcoming support for these compelling devices, we are addressing smartphone preference and remedying the security and management risks that IT departments are facing. This campaign is designed to get the word out there that freedom of choice has finally reached the enterprise when it comes to mobile devices.”
Good Technology’s highly targeted campaign illustrates the Company’s support of the iPhone, Android and Pam Pre devices and delivers simple messages to let C-level decision makers know that Good bridges the gap between the device choice that users want and the mobile security and management that IT demands. The first ads will focus on the iPhone with subsequent treatments spotlighting the Palm Pre and Android devices.
