Title: Samsung Jack Windows Mobile 6.5 Update

Samsung Jack Windows Mobile 6.5 is now supported for Good Mobile Messaging 6.0.1.

According to Samsung, the upgrade process takes between 5 and 10 minutes. Users should back up phone data before upgrading. The new firmware is available for free and can be downloaded from the Samsung Website. Users will need to re-provision Good after the new Windows Mobile 6.5 firmware is installed.

IT Admins should push Good Mobile Messaging v. 6.0.1.82 to Samsung Jack Windows Mobile 6.5 users. The Good Client Optimizer will automatically detect the ROM version and push the appropriate client build, which is 6.0.1.115.

The Samsung Jack Windows Mobile 6.1 is supported until January 23, 2011.

Known Issue

When users re-provision or provision Good on the Samsung Jack Windows Mobile 6.5, they will receive the following expired certificate message.

The certificate used to verify Good Messaging has expired. Select Yes to accept the certificate or No to cancel the installation.

Users can select Yes to continue provisioning Good without any issues. The signing certificate issue has been documented in the release notes.

Additional Information: Good Mobile Access is not supported on the Samsung Jack Windows Mobile 6.5.
