Title: How to configure Good Preferences in Good Mobile Messaging.
Fact: Good has many options for configuring the handheld to meet desired expectations. First, select the Good launcher icon as seen in figure #1.

Navigate down "preferences" menu item and select it to enter the good preference options shown in figure #2.

This will bring up a list of preferences:
About Good Mobile Messaging - Allows users to see Good version and client application details.
Applications - Enables software for the user to download and install. All software is sent from an administrator using the GMC.
Autotext - Contains a list of autotext, and allows the user to create new autotext entries as well as delete them.
Backup - Combined with a SD card you can create a backup of the software.
Categories - Set the categories for contacts from this menu item.
Email Delivery - Enable or disable subfolders under the Inbox for email synchronization.
Good Intranet - Enable Good Intranet. (Requires the Good Intranet Product and licenses)
Notification - Set email, phone, and other alerts. Allows for customization for vibration, and different sound alerts based on email priority, and type of notification.
Phone - Options for using system dialer and confirming the phone number before dialing.
Screen - Change the font size.
Security - Password lock and storage card encryption options.
Status - Contains device information such as Serial #, Phone #, Network Address, Free memory, etc...
Thumb Wheel - View screen options for the thumb wheel.
Time Zone - Set the timezone from the Good application.
