Title: Mounting a Public Folder Store in a pure Exchange 2007 Environment allows for opening an Exchange Session

Symptom: In a Pure Exchange 2007 Environment, customer receives error during installation of Good Mobile Messaging Server and installation is not successful.

Unable to open Microsoft Exchange session on profile 'Goodlink Server'...Exchange system error -2147221219

Testcreateprofile and CDO test tools both fail with Error 8004011d even though permissions are set correctly for GoodAdmin service account.

Cause: Customer did not have a Public Folder Store mounted or Public Folder has not been created.

Remedy: Add a Public Folder Store in the Exchange Management Console and restart the Exchange IS service. Good Mobile Messaging should install successfully.

Per the Admin Guide pre-requisites…

For 2007-only environments, the public folder store needs to be
mounted only for Exchange server machines where you intend to
synchronize public folders with user handhelds.

Additional Info: In addition to the above, ensure that the permissions for the good admin account have been applied via the command shell script outlined in KB 17960. Also verify that the GoodAdmin account is listed at the domain root of Active Directory (ADUC) and replicating down to the user level with sendas permissions applied to user objects per KB 17540 & 17773.
