Title: Role Based Administration 4.9.3 GMC Issue - Cannot Add Users and Groups to Roles Because Child Domain is not Listed

Symptom: Administrators are not able to add users to roles found in another domain. These organizations have multiple domains on the same Exchange server, but only one domain showing in the roles / desk help / members tab / add / locations button. All of the trusted domains should be listed.

Cause: The UI to find users isn’t picking up all the domains from the root. The new active browser is not displaying the parent domains and child domains but only displaying the domain of the user running the GMC. It is only displaying domain that has an explicit trust relationship, either 1-way or 2-way.

Remedy: Fixed in 4.9.3.27 GMC and up. Upgrade to GMM 5.0 or higher if available, if not use the following fix.

The fix is for the GMC only. To upgrade the GMC that does not reside on the GMS server, you only need to run "GMMAdministrator-4.9.3.27.exe" and proceed with a standard upgrade.

If you plan to use the GMC on a GMS server, you will need to run the "GMMManagementServer-4.9.3.27.exe' to upgrade the GMS/GMC component simultaneously.

Once you upgrade one GMC you should be able to see the domains and add the users to the roles. Those users won’t need to upgrade their GMC.
