5 Steps For Microsoft Exchange Environments (see next section for Lotus Domino)
Before proceeding through these steps, please see KB Article 17540 for detailed instructions on how to re-adjust the GoodAdmin account permissions because applying an Exchange Message Store hot-fix inherits a security fix that will cause the GoodAdmin account "Send As" permission to become denied and will therefore require the GoodAdmin permissions to be re-adjusted. Performing this re-adjustment this will prevent users from becoming paused after applying the Exchange Message Store hot-fix.
1. Run Windows Operating Systems Patches
2. Update CDO (cdo.dll)
3. Update Good Messaging Server to 4.9.3 (available 2/28/07) - Download software from download site http://www.good.com/download
4. Update Good Mobile Messaging Client to 4.9.3 - Please see Administrator's Guide Chapter 6 (Managing the Handhelds) for instructions on upgrading the Good Messaging Client.
5. Run the Microsoft Outlook Time Zone Data Update Tool - For information regarding the Tool for Outlook and Exchange to modify calendar entries for the affected 4 weeks, please see KB Article 931667 http://support.microsoft.com/kb/931667. Alternatively, users may manually re-create appointments without using the Outlook Time Zone Update Data Tool.
Please contact Microsoft with questions or issues regarding the Microsoft updates or the update tool.**
* After applying the Exchange 2003 Message Store hot-fix users may become paused. Please see KB Article 17540 to re-adjust the GoodAdmin account permissions.
