Title: Error 0x8004100A or 0x80010033 during OTA setup on a Windows Mobile 5.0 device

Symptom: During OTA setup, the User receives an error: "There was an error during installation. OTA Setup will now quit. Error Code: 0x80010033 (or 0x8004100A)"

Remedy:

  1. After seeing the error, click Quit on the error prompt
  2. Launch the File Explorer (Start>Programs>File Explorer)
  3. Go to Program Files\GoodOTAInstaller\Data
  4. Run GLPackage2005
  5. After it completes installation, click Ok.
  6. It should have extracted files to Program Files\GoodLink
  7. Go to Program Files\GoodLink
  8. Run GoodApp
  9. You will see no response for about 30-45 seconds
  10. Wait for upto a minute
  11. You will see the GoodLink "downloading services" screen
  12. Proceed as normal
  13. Installation will complete successfully
