Symptom: Handheld displays error 49 then error 73

Cause: Handheld has been removed from the GoodLink Management Console.

Remedy: Reprovision handheld.

Handheld should be setup & provisioned directly from the GoodLink Management Console (GMC) or by using the optional desktop software.

The handheld cable is required in order to use the optional desktop software. Prior to running the desktop installer, Add user in GMC, manually enter the handheld serial number, and uncheck the "Load Software on cradled handheld now" checkbox. This will get the user's Exchange mailbox GoodLink enabled/registered.

Note: The wireless reprovision method will not work when a user is removed from GMC because the shared encryption key on the Exchange mailbox is deleted which causes the encryption key on the handheld/SD card to become invalid. To regenerate the new security key and propogate properly, the handheld must be setup in a mode where the handheld has a direct MAPI connection to Exchange mailbox.
