Title: How To Set and Confirm an Alternate Port for GMM and GMC "BEFORE" installation

Connections from the GMM /GMC Server to the Good Security Operations Center use HTTP and are protected by the Secure Sockets Layer (SSL). Since the connection is established in the outbound direction, there is no need to create an inbound opening on the corporate firewall. Most corporate security policies allow this type of traffic through port 443 without reconfiguring the firewall, but IT managers may alternate ports, port 3101 or port 4663 instead. Use the below steps if this is the case.

1.) From the machine you are going to install GoodLink, right click on ‘My Computer’ and select ‘Properties’


2.) Once the ‘System Properties’ dialog box appears, select the ‘Advanced’ tab

3.) Click the ‘Environment Variables’ button

4.) Under ‘System Variable’ click ‘New’ and

Add the following 6 Variables:

OverrideURL- https://xml28.good.com:4663
OverrideWSURL - https://www.good.com:4663
OverrideGDRPCURL= https://xml29.good.com:4663
OverrideRelayConnectString- gti01.good.com:4663
OverrideRelayEncType -SSL
OverrideUploadURL - https://upl01.good.com:4663

5.) Click ‘OK’ three times and ‘My Computer’ will be closed.

6.) Click ‘Start/Run’

7.) Enter ‘cmd’ and hit enter

8.)Enter ‘set’ into the command line and hit enter

9.) If the variable has been set correctly, it will appear:

Limitations:

* Uninstall does not remove the environment variable set and also the registry Values
* Customers must use one of the two ports 4663 or 3101, they cannot use a port of their own choosing.
