Good is committed to delivering the best mobile experience possible to users. To ensure that each supported device on your enterprise's network receives a compatible version of Good's client software, we want to alert you to the following special considerations for deploying Good Mobile Messaging 5.0.5:

Support for MOTO Q 9h running Wndows Mobile 6.0
The MOTO Q 9h (also known as AT&T MOTO Q Global) running Windows Mobile 6.0 is not supported with Good Mobile Messaging 5.0.5. However, the MOTO Q 9h running Windows Mobile 6.1 is supported with Good Mobile Messaging 5.0.5. Existing Good users on the MOTO Q 9h running Windows Mobile 6.0 will be automatically directed to stay on Good Mobile Messaging 5.0.4. New Good users on the MOTO Q 9h running Windows Mobile 6.0 will automatically be directed to download and install Good Mobile Messaging 5.0.4. When carriers launch the Windows Mobile 6.1 update, existing MOTO Q 9h and AT&T MOTO Q Global users can update their device operating system and re-install Good Mobile Messaging 5.0.5.

Support for Motorola / Symbol MC35 running Windows Mobile 5.0
The Motorola / Symbol MC35 running Windows Mobile 5.0 is not supported with Good Mobile Messaging 5.0.5, but will be supported with Good Mobile Messaging 6.0. Existing users with the Motorola / Symbol MC35 will automatically be directed to download Good Mobile Messaging 5.0.4.

End-of-Software Updates
The Good Mobile Messaging 5.0.5 client software does not support the following devices:

  • Cingular 8525
  • Cingular 8525 variant devices
  • MOTO Q (Windows Mobile 5)
  • Palm Treo 700wx (Windows Mobile 5)

As a result, Good Mobile Messaging 5.0.4 is the last client software version that will support these handhelds. Please note that the Palm Treo 750 running Windows Mobile 6 is supported with Good Mobile Messaging 5.0.5.

There is no server upgrade necessary for this release. The Good Mobile Messaging 5.0.5 client is available for distribution by IT Administrators in the Good Management Console. The Good Mobile Messaging 5.0.5 client is supported with Good Messaging and Management server versions 5.0.3 and later. To download the latest server version, click here.
